So I’m 16 and I’m not comfortable showing a pic but I need some help fast please

Basically i have not had any sexual contact using my penis for well over a year now but recently my penis head has appeared irritated with red spots and marks. Nothing hurts but at times it feels a little sore or itchy but not all the time. I am thinking it might be balanitis because i am uncircumcised but this is causing me severe anxiety and it would be great if someone got back to me quickly. Thank you

It is difficult to tell without a pic.

Try some antifungal cream if itching is present.

Or a mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone could be useful.

If the penis head is too dry and scaly, apply some emollient like shea butter, coconut oil etc

you need to relax buddy, it's probably nothing serious because I'm pretty sure it's not a std, odds are the tip is iritated, stop using soap or anything else you're using and wash it with just warm water, also..doesn't hurt to get a thrush cream and apply it on the tip a few times, can't hurt, odds are it's only a rash or balantis.

Amarjeet has it completely right. There can be a whole lot of different things going on and often a clear photo or two is essential at getting at what is going on.

If you have irritation and spots and marks this does fit the description of balanitis - but a term such as this suggests nothing of what may have caused it.

So when we respond to you we are guessing at the most likely causes, and the most common one for young men is that of personal hygiene, if the penis is not kept clean and dry, such as washing and correctly drying after most times when you urinate, or after each time you ejaculate or are sexually aroused then harmful bacteria can develop. If you are an active person, or simply wear clothing that encourages sweat to build up regularly in your groin region then this too can add to the build-up of unhelpful bacteria.

Again Amarjeet has suggested how you would treat this with the antibacterial cream and suchlike - but more long-term you need to learn about and constantly practice an effective personal hygiene protocol that you automatically have in place.

So washing correctly is an essential - expose the head of your penis and wash, preferably with water only, but make sure you limit exposure to soap and things like shower gel - then after washing you need to ensure all moisture is removed
