So I was diagnosed with genital herpes type 1 - 5 years ago.
My new partner doesnt have the virus at all - since i have genital HSV1, can he get catch it orally or genitally?
whats the genital to genital HSV1 transmitted rate?
I'm just so worried he will catch it orally or down there!

his chances are higher of catching it through sex, rather than orally. since your hsv1 is on your genitals, the transmission rate is still the same as it would be for hsv2 on genitals

HV1 generally sheds less than HSV2 and has fewer outbreaks but be mindful that most people shed when no symptoms are present. Are you antivirals? It's hard to guess a range because Herpes is a tricky virus but men are less susceptible on catching it from women than the other way around.
