So nervous

Well my colonoscopy is this week. So nervous feel sick. About everything. Fingers crossed its all good. One thing i have noticed after my new specialist told me was to keep a diary of trigger foods. Last 2 weeks i find oils, spices, nuts and maybe cheese cauce my problems. And been on metamucil for 2 weeks, feel so good in the afternoons now. I have no pains, very rare cramps. Just Diarea after eating. Been going on for 4 years. Had so many tests done, had a colonoscopy/endoscopy etc all came back good results. But latest stool test came back with high calprotectin results. Only time i have blood if i wipe to much. My day starts of with normal stool, then 1 hour later loose stool then water stool. If i take imodium i am fine, my original specialist said my problems maybe be cauced by taking doxycycline for 3 years upsetting the bacterias. Also found heli pylor bactor. I now take minocycle to replace doxycycline. Wondering if i am back to square one again. Cheers

    Hi

I had the same problem with proctitis. doxycycline (wide spectrum antibiotic) caused a flare up for several weeks. Finally my specialist suggested Budenofalk, and it stopped within 3 days.

    Cheers
