This is a PMR/GCA site. What do you have and why were you taking Lipitor?

So, how much prednisone are you taking, and are you reducing too rapidly? Sounds like a flare.

It can take some months for Lipitor effects to go - I was a few months before mine went. Have you tried cutting carbs drastically to help the steroid-induced diabetes (it isn't the same as Type 2 )? And are you sure you are at a high enough dose to manage PMR symptoms?

I have suffered aching lower legs over the past few years. Seem better now. Initially they were helped by using a hot water bottle to keep warm, even in warm weather. I suspect it was a circulation problem. Lately it seems much better and I wonder if it's because I've been a bit more careful to keep my magnesium levels up, plus I'm feeling better generally (PMR-wise, not osteoarthritis-wise).
