So scared !!

Hello, i have found a hard lump inside my vagina and I was wondering if it sounded like a Bartholos cyst. I have no symptoms with it at all. It is quite a hard lump, not squishy at all. I had it looked at by the nurse during my smear test. She told me that it needs to be looked at by my g.p. I have an appointment on Friday but I can't stop thinking about it. I am so scared that it is something much more sinister. Could anyone tell me how the g.p would diagnose exactly what it may be. Will I be referred to hospital for tests ? Thank you for reading, Susan x

I just had both mine removed. They can be painful or not at all. At the time I had mine removed they were enlarged & had been since June but I had no pain. It could just be very infected

Usually if they are not abscesses they are painless. But a Bartholin gland cyst would not be inside the vagina...close but not inside. They are on the inside of the labia towards the back.

As I am not having symptoms at the moment she said to do nothing, but if it becomes infected then I have to go back. Fingers crossed ,it wont.
