So scared and confused, weird symptoms. Help!

I just need some kind of feedback. I feel like I am losing my mind.

3 months ago I woke up with soreness in my left oblique. Im into fitness so I thought very little of it but I noticed that there was a little cord looking structure running down the oblique and I started feeling bloated in my stomach.

Since then it has just been a myriad of weird and confusing symptoms. Middle back pain, cramping down that left oblique, sharp shooting nerve Pain across chest, into arms and legs. One of the most strange things is that if I workout or do anything physically taxing my whole body starts to get tingly and I get electric shock pains. I get sensations like costochondritis across my chest too, if I am too active. Most recently I have been getting numbness and strange sensations in my neck, face and calves.

I am terrified this is something really serious. I have had blood, urine, stool tests. Ultrasound and CT. Nothing showed anomaly.

I am supposed to see a neurologist soon.

Has anyone had anything like this? The tingling electric pain thing is particularly distressing. I am so anxious about all of it and I cant find anyone to relate. There are a lot of people in my life that just want to chalk this is all up to anxiety :-(

    Hi Carrie,

Yes I can tell you that you aren't alone, I have been through the same and felt just as worried.

After about 2 years of research I discovered it was cause by my neck and nerves. Once I found the culprit, it seemed very easy to find a wealth of information just by searching on YouTube for tingling and neck search terms.

After many tests and visits, I found my chiropractor and massage therapist to be worth more than all the doctors combined.

The only use I found of my neurologist was to give me an EMG test which confirmed my neck was short circuiting my nerves and gave me hope of recovery.

    Good luck and don't worry.

Hi, you are on the right track going to a neurologist. Ask for a nerve conduction test that will indicate if you have some kind of nerve issue. Your symptoms are very much like mine and I do have nerve damage. Also, DO NOT let anyone tell you your issues are in your head. Pain specialist can offer you a great deal of options that might be right for you. You may be facing a challenge to get answers and to get the help you need. You will have to be your own advocate and fight all or any who tell you that this can’t be real or that you are imaging things. Your body is telling you it needs help! I would suggest that you keep your physical activity to very low key activities until you know what you are dealing with. You can do further damage with even bigger issues to deal with. I send my best wishes and would like you to know I am so very sorry that you are having such health issues. 💐🍀??🕊
