So stressed- please help!

Hi everyone,
I have had IBS symptoms for around 4 weeks now and chronic fatigue with some nausea. I have had many blood tests, done about 3 times now - always fine. Now (last 2 weeks), I have developed a pain on the left side - sometimes under the ribs and sometimes between there and the belly button (Feels like a stitch, or trapped wind, or as if I have a kink in my small intestine.) Often I get a sharper pain in my upper back - between bottom of left shoulder blade and spine - but doctor thinks this is due to my slight scoliosis in the same area.
I have been to a&e they tried to reassure me that if there was anything wrong with my pancreas or spleen it would be indicated in the blood work. They said that the fact that I have pain would suggest that it's definitely not something like pancreatic cancer as it usually causes no pain and the first sign of it is usually jaundice. They sent me home with tramadol (Which I won't take - not happy doping myself up with really strong painkillers with out even a diagnosis as to why I'm taking them).
Can anyone advise me where to go from here? I have been off work for two weeks and I am going to have to extend that. I am seeing an autoimmune consultant on Saturday (M.E.) and also a physio tomorrow . I am getting to the stage where I am considering paying for a scan.
Any advice?
Many thanks
Julie
