So tired of this condition

This is gonna be a long story. It started out in 2015 when I got a bad case of the stomach virus. I puked about 30 times. I lost so much weight. I was about 67 pounds at 15 years old, and I was 4'11. After a few weeks, I was completely better but then I noticed I was nauseous one day and headed to gag in the toilet. Turns out I didn't have to, I was just so anxious it would happen again. So I was naseous every day for about 8 months. My doctor thinks I had gastritis. Then I slowly got over it because I took colostrum and it helped my intestines. I gained weight that winter and got up to about 87 pounds. Which I was happy with. My anxiety was so bad though because I didn't want to get it again so I never went out and just cried in bed. Then in March of 2016, I had the stomach virus again. Not as intense maybe I puked 15 times instead of thirty. But after that night, my anxiety got even worse. I was 80 pounds again, 16 years old, and 5'0. My doctor put me on Sertraline to help me with anxiety and I started getting therapy. But during that time, at night, I would have bad bowel movements. I had green bowls for about a week after a panic attack. Now, I have frequent bowel movements every night if I eat fruit, gluten, or dairy (im lactose intolerent). My doctor suggested I get a colonoscopy and endoscopy but I didn't feel the need to get one. I was just too anxious and I for sure knew I had some type of bowel problems. Maybe IBS, or colotis? My mom researches all the time and I do too. I am weighing in at about 76 pounds, 5'1, and I'm almost 17. All my blood tests, stool tests, ultrasounds, and xrays came back normal over the course of 2 years. I think once though my doctor saw mucus in my stool though but he said it was normal. Someone help. I still have no clue.

I am not an expert except in my own illness but I can say mucas is normal.  Stress and anxiety make things worse. I am living proof of this as I am under a little bit of pressure, more than I have taken on in a few years, and my body reacted by getting me up at 1.35am twice this week to be ill and this morning I was up at 6am with a dodgy tummy and I know the excess stress is making me worse.  I do eat fruit every night but that is because I have a sluggish bowel so without it my body builds up and then I become very ill. For me fruit seems to act as a lubricant. I refused any drugs from the doc.  I took movicol for a while but I could feel my body becoming too used to it so much so that when I stopped taking it I did not go to the loo for a while as my body was waiting for the movicol to give it that kick.

It is worthwhile to have the endoscopy and colonoscopy as helps rule things out.

I am currently trying to ween myself off milk.  Good luck.

OMG Nicole that sounds dreadful. I would imagine you've been ruled out from Crohns, colitis and gallbladder issues? You can get green poop from IBS. But the vomiting sounds like cyclic vomiting syndrome (cvs) . My mother and I both have IBS. I had cvs as a child and she has it now as an adult. Do you get migraine headaches? I ask because there is also a condition called abdominal migraine with symptoms like yours. I hope this helps.

    Nicole,

Listen to your Dr and get an endoscopy. It's not nice but just rules everything out.

2nd medication can change urine and stools.

3Rd stress is the worst thing for any stomach problem. Find something that will take your mind off things. I crochet, knit, cross-stitch and craft. You can also do yoga, meditation and loads of other things but it is just to relax you and focus your mind elsewhere.

    Hope it helps.

It sounds like IBS.  Some people get it after an stomach infection or as a result of stress.  Anxiety makes IBS symptoms worse.

However, it may also be worth it to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy to rule out other conditions.

I know it all drives you mad, I am a lot older than you, still drove me mad, I had a colonoscopy and found out I had a redundant Colon, meaning longer than normal more twists and turns, but I put my gut problems starting when I had to take antibiotics for 3 months for a bad in infection, anyway some suggestions enteric coated peppermint capsules, coconut oil, Turmeric 95% curcumin capsules with piperine, cut down on insoluble fibre, probiotics, plenty of info online you could check out to see if you think they could help, I've had all the issues, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, cramps, spasms, hope you improve, and get things sorted.

I had the bug back in June and it took me a while to get over it, keep drinking fluids. Deffo go for the endoscopy and find out what is going on?
