Over use of dermovate cream has left me in a terrible mess around my groin, seen doctors ,been put on sporanox , terbinafine cream and Fucibet cream. I'm weeping badly ,mucky and skin peeling away. Has anyone had this ? So depressed.

Lorraine it sounds unbearable. I've been there. I've had my entire inner thighs and groin, raw, sore, swollen-hard all at once, for a bad summer when I wasn't acknowledging the extreme stress I'd put myself under. The meds you have seem to be focusing on yeast. I hope you've cut almost all sugar out of your diet. That and trying to be calm are the two best things you can do. It will get better. Skin is amazing, once it makes up its mind to go back to normal.

      Hi,

Yes ive cut sugar in fact I've hardly eaten, I really hope you are right I'm at the end of my tether. It seems everything they prescribe is to harsh for my skin.

I feel bad for you. It is the sugar, honestly!   stopping sugar means looking at other areas that may contain sugars, like carbs, and it is hard at first. But you cannot expect results overnight, it is going to take a some time before you see results, everyones different.  Make sure you are free of yeast, as a suggestion maybe take a Diflucan.  I remember having to take 3 Diflucan, with a couple of days in between when I had a particularly nasty Candida flare up.

Guppy, I looked up sporanox and it's the same as Diflucan. It's so hard when it gets this bad because the condition itself is a major source of stress, so it loops back in. Maybe watching the film, The Singing Detective would be good about now.

Ah! I didn't know that. Candida is a serious problem, and has to be treated as such; I was terrified when I had it because I think it was systemic then because I had oral and vaginal thrush, and oral LP and vaginal LS.  Anyone reading this look at your tongue now and then, honestly it's a giveaway, I aways check my tongue, it tells me if I am wavering towards a problem with thrush, I constantly have to watch out for it.

I start to sound like a broken record by now - but I swear by taking baking soda baths (1/3 cup) and rinses (three pinches in a Perin bottle).  It prevents infection and more.

And then change your diet - no sugar is at the top of the list.  Then check dairy and perhaps gluten.  Both give your system a break.

It really is worth controlling diet! I hope you soon find your body in healing mode rather than attack mode! Giving it good nutrition and reducing inflammatory foods should certainly help.
