WOW!, That is spot on to my first ever recognition of my Anxiety 4 years ago. Im 19 Myself and suffer with IBS and Anxiety to.

I'd say for now while your doing well with yourself keeping busy in life, seek help to do CBT just explain to a NHS GP about the anxiety but explain you do not wish to be tried on meds, Since your 18 though im not sure whether you got to CAMH (CHILD ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH) or to an Adult clinic for an assessment of counciling or full on psychiatric stage treatment which can b great. Exposing yourself to the dangers and also to the day to day things that might be expected to be calm but with your anxiety issue it doesnt always go smooth.

Try to not give in to your thoughts, they are not exacly right. They feed chemicals to your body and so your body gets the message that would not be sent usually if it wasnt for your thought process being cock'd up (excuse my french)

Let family know to. DO NOT SUFFER ALONE!

it might be acid reflux where you produce a lot of stomach acid and it comes up the oesophagus to your throat.  That could either be due to nerves or possibly more likely the IBS.
