I have been suffering from disc prolapse El4-5 for a long 4 years, how many benefits can I take in playing sulfasalazin 500mg long? What side effects can it be. And if anyone knows about this rules of food.

That is interesting as I take a similar med for my Crohns. It must also help with my back which I did not realise. I am on them for life.

There are side effects so you weigh up that with the benefits.

I do baulk at taking the drugs for osteoporosis which I have so far refused.

Do your research and decide if the benefits outweigh the risks.

It depends on how much you are taking as well. Low doses are not as subject to side effects. My maintenance amount is 1000 mg and 4000 supposedly where side effects kick in.

    Hey Pranto,

I have been having some lower back pain the last year, just wanted to write to say I really empathise with you having gone through this for 4 years and want you to know that I believe God can heal and bring you through this and make you pain free still - I really hope and pray that, hang in there. I'm afraid I don't know anything about medications or anything, but takings vitamins and herbs is something I've found helpful, a good strong multi-vitamin per day, high doses of Vitamin C (1000mg-3000mg per day), B complex (for nerve pain and energy levels) and anti-inflammatory supplements like omega fish oils, turmeric and white willow bark (remember I'm no doctor or expert though just going on my own experience).

    Craig
