I have been seeing a neuro muscular physician for almost 2 years. Have had multiple tests and last diagnosis was cramp fasiculation syndrome. I began this road 3 years ago when my legs began to twitch, loss of balance, light headed, the most horrendous leg cramps, etc. Within the last 6 months my feet have begun to hurt, my legs are getting weaker, I am tire easily almost to the point of exhaustion. My hands ache and are progressively getting weaker. The fasiculations in my legs are always there, sometimes worse than others. I also have neuropathy in both legs and feet. My walking is cane aided and I am unable to walk in a straight line. I was told I have an "irregular gait." My "knee jerk" test shows almost no movement from my lower legs at all. I have been on 1800 mg Gabapentin for maybe 4 months and the cramps have much improved. The other problems continue.
My question: Along with weakening of hands, arms, legs; do others have the aching of feet and hands?
Thank you!!

i think you should visit another doctors. search on google which ones are the best for your city and pay for a consultation. i had 22 doctors who told me i have nothing in me,,,,but lucky me i am not a person who listen to every doctor and believes what they are saying,,,so i kept searching and searching and sometimes the ones who goes on tv programs,,,the ones i call "the real experts ones" are the ones who discover what you have where others didnt. that was my case with the doctor number 22 and 23. so what i have to say to the other 22 doctors who told me that i might suffer from depression or entirety from stress, is this: yes i did suffer from stress going from doctor to doctor and pay loads of cash and come home to try their medication accompanied with lobbies to later on have some kind of stress that i call; frustration. go into another shores and try others and you might have a different opinion. dont tell them what other doctors already discovered. only then you will know how good they are.good luck nanci

Thank you Helder. I have been to several doctors with always a referral to another one. My real question is if others with diagnosed MND with progression, if their hands and feet hurt along with the progression of loss of strength. I return to my neuro muscular physician in Aug. but was hoping others could tell me if this was normal happening or not. I appreciate your response and I know how we have to be our own advocates when it comes to these kinds of problems. Good luck.
