Somebody help pls is this herpes have to wait for my lab results, I have been stressed to find out

    i had a similar thing... my reports came out negative after 5 months but all of sudden without any sexual activity even it has come positive for hsv 2 now after 11 months. can that be a false positive on pcr swab then

      im not sure i got swabbed and my blood drawn an both of them came back negative and on top of that im 8months pregnant and this is the 1st time ive had this... And this is my second pregnancy i get tested again on the 23rd just to be sure

    This honestly looks like Herpes.

    Blood tests are not always accurate especially if this is a new infection.

    Your partner could have the virus and have only just passed it onto you. You could be with someone for years who has it and never contract it from them, it just depends when the virus becomes active. That's why people always think their partners must have cheated when the get it. But it doesn't always pass on straight away with a new partner.

    If youv never has anything like this before this is likely your first outbreak and that should explain why your results are negative. Although people can carry it for years and not have first outbreak until yeas down the line.

    Keep an eye on it. You might never get an out real, you may get 1 or 2 a month or just a few times a year. Everyone is different. Herpes can be a tough pill to swallow but honestly it is so common and more so in females.

      i totally agree but the blood test was to see if it was in my system ever not just for the moment and them test took weeks to cone back im sure my obgyn knows what she is doing an wouldn't tell me to stop taking the medicine because i am pregnant but thx this helped and i will question her about this monday

      i am happy for you. i also had something similar. i tested negative on swab initially. honestly twice negative. and now third time it shows positive. and I somehow know deep down my heart it's false positive. I have also done my hsv blood test. awaiting results.

      but if your doc says it's no herpes it's no herpes. don't think too much. my doc have made me think all crazy things. if u blessed with a good doc. believe and congratulations.
