Something's faking as sinusitis?

First of all hello there, I didnt know where to post this discussion so I posted in the mroe fitting one.

For more than six months I've been feeling gradually bad by a pressure behind my right eye until I decided to see a doctor whom requested a xray of my face and noticed an inflammation in my frontal sinus, prescribing me antibiotics and a nasal spray. However, it wasn't working and 2 months later another xray was taken with the inflammation in the same place.

My inflammation is mostly on the right side of my face and beyond the pressure I also feel an unbearable pain in my head alternating with symptoms of chronic fatigue and I cant cry, even if I force to (I know it can be another illness but still something to report). This is really ruining my life.

I'll start by saying I am by no means qualified to diagnose.

However, sinuitis feels a bit different. It can be one sided but

it typically has other symptoms; congestion, nasal discharge, etc.

You are not giving enough information. So i'll ask a few questions

Did the doctor perform an endoscopy and sent a culture sample to

to the lab to see what grows? How did he interpret your catscan?

Did you do blood work...maybe your ferrum is low, etc.

    Good luck

Hi, he asked for neither of these however my blood levels are normal. In my country it takes months to schedule a specific doctor and I have to go for the "general" who treat patients in crisis

Hi Casey.............yes its not good, like I was mentioning to another group member I think we all have the same but yet different symptoms. My inflammation is going on 2 years now, nothing seems to work, although for releiev try sinutab and that is to be used only max of 7 day, the pharmascist also told me to use Ibuprofen along with it, I seem to service on Ibuprophen. I live in Canada and I'm guessing alot of it isrelated to the extreme cold. We are also testing our home for Radon. Not sure what to tell u....reduce inflamation is the key

Hi and sorry for the late reply. Maybe mine case is also related to the cold. I stopped using nasal sprays and the pain is gone, but I can feel the inflammation behind my eyes (weird?). I'll try an infectologist to discover whats causing it, also to try some antihistamine... Do you know who other members have simmilar symptoms?
