Something still affecting Me...

I wondered if anyone who has successfully tried the FODMAP diet has found that Lactofree milk has still affected them.
My symptoms have improved greatly but something is still affecting me and I'm wondering if it could be this.
I'd been eating spelt sourdough bread from Waitrose and assumed it was this that was guilty so I stopped having that but something is definitely playing havoc with my gut.

hello, I did fodmap and managed to expand my diet to include some fruit, but my stomach still throws a wobbly every 2 or 3 months and I have to go back to basics and restrict my diet severely.
I have tried lacto free items, but I still react badly. I can't have any dairy milk and only low fat philly cheese once a week. Apparently you can react to something else besides the lactose. You can buy digestive enzymes to help, buy I would rather just have sugar free soya milk with added calcium and vitamins.

Many thanks for your replies.
I think I'll go back to almond milk for a while and see how I get on with that. I'm not keen on soya milk.
If things improve I may true the spelt sourdough bread from waitrose again as it may not have been that after all.

Hi there. many people with IBS react to milk protein and lactose. So still react to lactose free products. try a non dairy milk and see how you go
