Sometimes the more we medicate high doses, the more sensitive/weaker our neurons get. Is it true?

Although meds may correct hormonal imbalance, but they increase the pressure of a substance in brain, weaken the reuptakers, and make it hard to process information.

Is it me or you also feel that, the more we take medications, the more sensitive/weaker our neurons get?

also what substance in the brain are they talking about?
