sonigram check ups?

I am wondering if sonigram technology is used to check on surgerical areas for healing, inadvertent damage or adhesion development? For sure a sonigram is not going to be as detailed as an MRI, but it could provide a view that otherwise isn't possible.

Why do you want a sonogram?

It seems to me to be a way to actually see what is happening in the operated on areas. Its mainly subjective (pain or not) so how can the doctor or patient KNOW what is really happening?
