Sonogram with 9.1 endometrial stripe. Dr sending me to obgyn oncologist for biopsy

I had just one episode of spotting and when I went to my doctors office she did Pap smear and I bled a little again it was a good Pap smear and clear and then I was sent for an abdominal sonogram pelvic and

There were no lesions and my ovaries were OK but she told me I need to see a specialist because it could be uterine cancer because of a 9.1 endometrial stripe I am so scared any info and input would help immensely thank you so much

    Hi, Terry, sorry you're going through this.  If your uterine stripe is above 4, you need to have a biopsy.  Usually results come back within 3 - 5 days.  Your doctor is taking this seriously, as she should.

    But, you have done the right thing to seek out treatment as soon as you did. Get in to see that specialist as soon as you can!    

    Please try to take this process one step at a time.  I know this is really scary.  Many women go through this and the ladies on this site are here to support you.

      Hi thank you so much for responding to my post

      Does this usually end up in cancer

      My husband died four years ago next month from head and neck cancer and he suffered terrible

      I'm waiting for the appointment for the specialist it should come soon and then they can do the biopsy

      I have so many more questions to ask is it ok. thank you so much

      Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband! I'm sorry that he suffered from such a devastating illness.  

      Unfortunately, it's difficult to predict whether you have cancer, or not.  I think that sometimes it's best not to speculate, but deal with what happens.  

      Could you let me know your age?

      Hi, Terry,

      Sure, I'm in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Not snowing here, but we had very nice warm temperatures last week.  This morning, that's at an end, and all is windy and cold.  

      I will be 68 this March.  I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and had a hysterectomy in July, 2016.
