i fee days ago i posted a discussion becasue i had a sharp pain near my left arm, the very next day i grew a pain in the bottom of my left arm pit thats been there for two days. i have had breast pain in the side of my breast for a while (from a nerve i think) i cannot feel any lumps anywhere where the pain/soreness is and i cannot stop worrying about it
i am 20 and i was PMSing around the time of the pain, i also read this article on this girl who discovered her breast cancer through armpit pain and funny enough now i have pain in my armpit.
i cannot tell if i created this pain or if its caused from hormones or the painful nerve in my breast (at least i think its that) or something worse!!

I THINK YOU ARE FINE! VERY OFTEN, with before a period, breasts can become quite tender, even painful.
THEY can have soft moveable lumps or tissue. those are normal.
ITS IMPORTANT TO " get to know your breasts". LEARN how they feel before your period and about a week after your period.
THAT way you know what to expect. DO a breast exam every month.
A lump that is hard, size of a pea and non moveable needs to be checked by a doctor.
BUT breast cancer is rare at your age.
Dont obsess over it.
YOU should have a regular yearly gynecological checkup .
HOPE THIS HELPS!

and yes, the armpit can be very tender also. I had that for many years , even swollen nodes in armpit, around period time.

for your peace of mind you can have your doctor check your armpit, but some women have small amounts of breast tissue near the armpit, like me.
the soreness just before your period may be due to the same hormonal
changes that cause period breast tenderness.

I agree with the other ladies. I get very sore from my armpit into my breast every month that's actually how I know my period is coming. Its definitely hormonal. I usually take a low dose of ibuprofen and hot shower and it helps.

I am currently experiencing arm pit pain due to what I'm guessing is an inflamed nerve. I can trace the nerve from my arm pit down my arm and to the top of my forearm. Luckily it has subsided some today. I am a 33yo Male, so no period here, but one thing we have in common and we both know we have for certain is ANXIETY.
I hope you get feeling better soon. Seeing a doctor never hurts (except needles.. they hurt a little :p )
God Bless and get well.
