Sore during sex

Posted , 8 users are following.

Hi everyone just wanted to ask for your help. Was doing so well on Vegifem and no flare up and tryed having sex and that was fine. I didn't keep the regular sex and after several months tryed again. It was painful not like it use to but still painful. Even had a little bleeding from the rubbing.

I remember read in the forum and my Hymie saying if you don't practise you will get back to the beginning. As anyone had this and what can I do to take the redness and raw feeling away .

Moisturize and time. Wish I had a better answer for that. For the future, perhaps get a dialator to help gently stretch you so that next time it won't be so tight. Sorry that you've had such a difficult, painful experience with what should be such a lovely experience.

    Hi Rosedee

You need to keep the area well moisturised.  I use a feminine wash (Canesfresh) and moisturise with Epaderm after each wash.  If I am particularly sore I use Eumovate at night and then Epaderm during the day after washing and then after each time I go the the toilet.  It does work for me and if kept moisturised the skin doesn't dry out and feels less sore.

    Best wishes

Have to agree re dilators. God send for me. I couldn't even attempt sex at all but was recommended dilators ( the ones women use after surgery down there). They come in different sizes in the one pack.... From very small and slim graduating to pretty generous. Use once a day with plenty of water based lube. You will truly be amazed at the difference if you stick to routine. The only other advice I can give is what works for me as I was pretty raw down there. Clob steroid cream a very very small amount ( but you should speak to your GP or gyn in your case) that was morning and night every day for a few weeks. Now it's once at night twice a week ( using even less now) this is for maintenance. And coconut oil after showering and also to clean after using the loo. I am so sorry you're in such a state with this. My advice might not help but I think whatever finally works for you does so if you stick to a regime and never falter. A bit of damn nuisance but it's amazing when you do get something that works.....trust me when you do get relief you won't want to give up and go back to the itch and the rawness. Good luck and keep searching for your solution. You will find it xx

For me - regular dilation is a big help.  Next to that - coconut oil as a lubricant has worked wonders.  And gentleness is an important aspect.

When sore - treat yourself well and avoid intercourse till all has healed.

Do you get yeast infections? My gyn said not to use any oil as a lube because it will leave a residue that yeast love.

Coconut oil is anti bacterial and anti fungus. Just take sugar out of your diet.

Advice from the vulvar specialist me was is to always use lubricant during sex regardless of how much I produced naturally. It really does make a difference.

I now need longer foreplay time than what was needed in the good ole days.

To deal with pain I use a cold compress or ice pack (bag of peas) afterwards. It dramatically reduces soreness for the times we don't follow the above two protocols.
