Sore & itchy throat and ear when swallowing

Hi guys so I've had this issue since last week. It all started with itch like ants crawling on my throat, and whenever I swallow things it feels worse, solid food is the worst. It's also at the left side of my throat, I'd say somewhere right behind my soft palate, and deep inside my left ear is very itchy too. Whet to my GP he gave me Claritin and didn't seem to help. Today when I ate I noticed that it's like an itchy-pain, it's a rubbing feeling when food pass my throat, which makes it hard to swallow food. I suspected LPR, however I have no heartburn or chest pain just some belching...btw I have no fever or cold symptoms so could it still be any infection?
anyone has ever had similar problem and knows why?

i also have the itchy pain, dry throat at the top and back of my throat. i have what i think is post nasal drip. i have also been having burning and pain off and on in my stomach for which im getting an endoscopy and a colonoscopy on monday. the throat part started after a bout with strep for which i took antibiotics. at first i had the dry mouth, sore tongue and itchy neck. then the itch faded some but then i got in my ears sometimes alternating in severity and ear. i have a warm sensation throughout the day inside my ears and they are achy, itchy and sometimes sounds seem muffled or irritating. when i swallow sometimes it feels like im swallowing glass or something but only at the back of my mouth. i have ache below my jaw line. the funny thing is that sometimes when i eat it kind of scratches at my throat and i feel it in my ears and it has an odd satisfaction to it like when you scratch an itch but right now it just hurts. i havent noticed any swollen lymph nodes and i cant seem to see the back of my throat? my nose is dry and sometimes so dry it causes discomfort. i thought tmj. i honestly dont think it has anything to do with my stomach issues because the burn is mostly gone but my throat issues seem worse and plus ive noticed some relief with robitussin. cough drops sometimes help.
