Sore on left side of mouth causing sore throat. 6 months!

i have had this sore in my mouth for 6 months now. It is not very red so doctors kind of put it off as a non issue. Truth is, it hurts like crazy and causes a sore throat constantly. It is right by my back left molars off to the side. It feels like it slightly bumps up when i feel it with my tongue. It has been there on and off for 6 months now. i also get neck pain and headaches constantly so i am trying to figure this out in hopes of it helping elsewhere. Any ideas?image
