sore throat and itchy skin

Hello,

I need opinions! I think I had been on Google too much doing research about my symptoms so I'm kinda freaking out!

My sore throat started sometime in July (it's mid August now). I've noticed it but it didn't really bothered me. It feels like something that would eventually go away on its own. Fast forward to August, sore throat is still here, but now I've noticed the burning sensation in my throat. Of course, I've been told by friends that it's acid reflux. Finally made an appointment and went in. Guess what, I was told it's acid reflux and wad told to take Zantac 2 times a day for 2 weeks.

Here's why I'm freaking out, I've been a smoker for about a decade now and even before my sore throat issue, I've been having this itch around my belly button. Of course, dr. Google told me that it might be cancer.

I don't know what to do and I'm going crazy here. Is there any way I could request for a cancer screening or do I have to go through all the other possibilities prior?
