In the October 2012 handed over the analysis on the microflora.Seeded Staphylococcus aureus.

   During 2013 conduct current treatment:

1) Taking antibiotics - amoxiclav, cefalexinum. Sprinkle bioparox.Smeared nose bactroban.

Doctor directed in the department of ENT central clinic of the city. There, in the time of entrance doing just one puncture antrum of Highmore and set intravenously antibiotic cefuroxime. After i showed test on resistive of s aureus to antibiotics (2012!!!), me set new antibiotic ciprofloxacin. Herewith in the new test on resistive me was denied. As a result, discharge from the clinic even results and x-ray films take away.

If I was you I would demand to be referee back to the ENT department. What you have is not right and you shouldn't have to live with it. Have you tried Nasonex spray and Sterimar spray? Also do you take antihistamine tablets? Are you allergic to anything? Maybe you need to have an allergy test! Go back to your Doctor. Also did you know that Manuka honey 15+ is extremely good for getting rid of a sore throat, its expensive but it works and its completely natural. Good luck, hope you get it sorted soon

I have chronic sinusitis and mastoiditis with significant congestion and pain, so I understand your situation.  I also have right facial paralysis and other neurological problems.

Some relief from antihistamine and steriod nasal sprays, as well as acupuncture.  Just started using 2 drops of thyme essential oil in hot steaming water, inhaled.  Reportedly thyme has strong antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Put pan of water on stove until it boils.  Remove from stove and put 2 drops of thyme oil in water.  Lean over the steam with a towel over head, close eyes, and inhale through nose, then through mouth.  Do this for 5-10 minutes.  Start slow as it may sting a bit.  Repeat 4-6 times per day.

Good results after only two days for me.  Not cured, but good temporary relief.

I too have chronic sinusitis (caused by dry eye syndrome, which itself was caused by Lasik eye surgery) and blepharitis so will give the steaming with thyme a try, thanks.

Also, to help antiobiotics work look into caprylic acid (calcium/magnesium caprylate).  It has been studied in the US and seems to help destabilize bacteria cells allowing antibiotics to work better.  Sold in the US under trade name Mycopryl 680.

Well Ive read lots of positive reviews about Manuka Honey on the internet. I saw my GP today and mentioned it to her and she said she doesnt see any harm in trying it, as its a natural product and can be added to a saline rinse. It has also been proven to improve the immune system. I have a follow up appointment next monday with the hospital following the sinus op I had in March and I will ask the consultant about Manuka honey. My GP said that I may need a longer course of antibiotics. But she did warn me that sometimes people can suffer with chronic sinusitus for years!
