    Hi Peter,

It seems some of your symptoms are like mine with this difference that it's a long time I have it -on and off-and it occurs repeatedly when my virus infection flu comes back and symptoms are taking too long till I get better.

Now my question is when your symptoms has started?

I mean do you have a cold or virus infection allergy like an influenza?

I asked because my symptoms ,which are like yours, happen in situation like that.

Please tell me more about it .

    Peter, Don't worry,

Stress and anxiety always makes any condition worse.

I'm positive that it is not cancer.

    Hi Peter,

I was wondering if you have any injury to your right shoulder or upper right back at all even if minor injury? This same thing happened to me...for about 6-8 weeks I was having pain and swelling in the right side of my throat, and because I have severe Gerd I thought for sure it was something really bad. I decided to go to the ENT specialist, and thank God he confirmed what my Chiropractor said. I had injury to my shoukder/neck area from poor phone use practices at work....and the repetitive movements were causing pain and swelling in my shoulder, neck and throat. It ended up going away on its own by making changes to my repetitions at work. If you are able, go see a specialist to check it out, it will help to relax your mind from the stress of not knowing, but I am sure you are fine 🤗

    Hi Peter,

long time sufferer myself, try following - gargle with gaviscon - spit out - then take a little - do it three to four times a day. Give it two weeks - it is best if you sleep in a chair and not in bed during this time.It is called odynophagia also oropharangeal dysphagia if any probs swallowing, risk of aspiration pneumonia.

    All the best,

    Brian.

It sounds the same as what i went through and i think was a throat and ear infection. I had tried numerous antibiotics none of which helped. What did work was using a nasal douche twice a day and getting Betnosol N ear and nose drops on prescription from my doctor. Mine cleared up in about a week after struggling with symptons for about 6 months.

Make sure you ask for Betnosol N and not just Betnosol as it has a steroid in it and is stronger.
