Hi everyone,

i am 31 yr old male, overall great health until 3 months ago i got suddenly sore throat.

It looked like this

  • 7 days pain with no doctor visit
  • Doctor visit with 14 days antibiotics
  • Pain got worse but consist only during swallow
  • Got antihistamines, nose clearing spray, muscle relaxing medicine, post nasal drip medicine and used for 10 days with no help
  • Did all blood test including c reactive, helicobactery, thyroid and all came back perfect
  • Did nose and throat endoscopy which came back clear except a little bit of redness
  • 1 month of controloc, no help
  • 2 weeks of omeprazole, no help

Getting desperate now, i lost 4 kilos because i dont eat sweets, alcohol and coffe anymore. Does anyone have idea what else i could do and what could cause my chronic sore throat? Any other blood test, tonsil removal maybe?

thanks

Do you have any other symptoms? like ear fullness/pressure/pain?

Where exactly in your throat is the pain?

Did you visit a ENT doctor?

No othersymmptoms, just pain on right side when i swollow.

Pain is immediately after my mouth, at the beginning of the throat.

Visited 4 different ENT, 1 of them did endoscopic camera procedure, all of them say that there is nothing except my throat is red (reflux maybe) but with 6 weeks on PPI pain does not go away.

Is there any other dissease that can cause persistent sore throat, maybe some STD or something since now i have no idea what next i could do.

I dont want to remove tonsil as one doctor suggested and still have pain since i am not sure does pain come from tonsil.

I am not a doctor, however, I bet it is GERD or silent reflux.
