Doctors suspected gerd, though my stomach doesnt burn, i have taken medics for two months but no help again .Morning time its worse , have to clear everyday . Its gets better until night time slowly. Then again next morning, it get worse. This is continously for one year now .

Please if anyone knows it happened to them also. Please share it.

    Hello Gang,

I live in Canada! Sore throat for over 15months...Doc said I showed very low B12 in my system.  I have also gone through many blood work sessions with no results other than the B12.  I am currently waiting for Mono test to come back.

Anyone get any answers? making me crazy...

      Hi Joy,

I am also in Canada. Did you ever cure your sore throat? And if so, how did you do it, or who did you see? I am in Toronto, Ontario, suffering for 15 months as well.

Low b12 can be caused by bad bacteria overgrowth, which can cause esophageal muscle not working properly and leaking stomach content( acid and enzymes all the way up our throats).

Well, don't panic 😉! I know how you feel 😢

Have any bumps on your neck? See your blood test. I know we always think the worst. I'm like that. Feel sick in my stomach and can not wait for Monday. It's terrible.

    Hi everyone.

I have had the same for over 10 years. I used to smoke occasionally so put it down to that, also nicotine additiction causes sore throat so when I gave up I wasn't too worried about why it was still there.

I've had a camera up the nose and down the throat. It's inflamed by no cause why.

Had penicillin with sadly made no difference. I cut out dairy and most sadly, alcohol, which improved it slightly.

It feels almost like heartburn / reflux but constant with no other symptoms.

No I just gargle with salt, warm water and honey.

    Any help appreciated!

10 years! Oh my goodness. How on earth do you live with this? I,ve have recurrent flare-ups of my throat and ear on the left side for 4 yars. The last flare up has transformed into a painful throat (not sore/raw like when you have a cold - it hurts to swallow and under my tongue is sore. It's been like this for a month now). I had an appointment with an ENT consultant yesterday who was very dismissive (I was in tears). It was as if, because he couldn't see anything with his naked eye, I'm imagining it. He didn't suggest any other course of action. Like you, I've recently been experiencing heartburn and last night I saw that there's something called CMV Esophagitis (CMV is a virus in the same family as Herpes and Epstein Barr (I've had Epstein Barr) which is very common) and one of the symptoms is heartburn. It's appaling to have suffered for so long and for you not to have an answer. Personally (not sure where you live) but I am going to see a dentist in Putney, London, who gets amazing reviews and manages to sort out a range of ailments that GPs and doctors can't seem to cope with. I am so fed up of doctors not listening and ignoring you if they can't find a simple, apparent reason for an ailment.

I too have had exactly what you are talking about, It feels weird in my throat it moves from one side to the next all the time, and different areas around where my thyroid/voicebox would be. Underneath my tongue is sore also and it affects my ear aswell! This has been going on for 2 months, right after I had a first time severe allergic reaction to something in a drink I had. Ive had an ultrasound done on my neck everything looked okay and bloodwork for thyroid done and it came out normal. All I know is this is driving me nuts and I can only keep thinking the worst case scenario! Ughhh if you get any updates please let me know!!

Hi hope your throat is better. Could I ask you the name of that dentist? I a desperate with very bad recurrent pain too for almost seven months. Thanks!

It sounds like you have GPN. Google the symptoms. It causes a sore throat. I have had a sore throat for the past 5 years with ear pain. My dr said I cought a virus in one of the cranial nerves. I'm beginning to think he's wrong. All my symptoms are the same as GPN. Good luck to you

It is very likely you suffer from LPR, a form of GERD. Redness, soreness, strange sensations in throat, tightness of throat, right?

It seems like LPR to me. A very serious condition that even specialists are unaeare of. Redness, soreness, tightness in throat, right?

This is exactly my problem and it has been going on for months now, numerous courses of steriods and antibiotics considering going to an ent.

I have gotten all kinds of teas and supplements to try and combat this and wondering if getting my tonsils out is the solution.

It doesnt even happen over night ususally it builds up over time while i am awake. Right now it feels swollen the bottom right corner of my mouth by throat wise not physically mouth.
