Sore throat (no pain) discomfort only on left side of my mouth.

Hello everyone,

I am just turned 25. The condition of having left side sore throat (no pain) and discomfort with my left - side of tongue is driving me crazy for almost 2 months. Prior to this, I was experiencing of food stuck or scratched sensation for almost 2 days. But then it went away and left some discomfort only on left side of mouth from tongue all the way to throat area. I have also been to GPS multiple times. They ensured me nothing serious going on. They gave me antibiotics, something for gargle etc, nothing worked. Recently i went to ENT specialist. He told me i am breathing too much from my mouth while sleeping as there are small red patches at the back side of throat. But i don't snore at night. Even if that is the case wondering how is that supposed to effect my tongue?

When i eat the scratch/soreness kinda sensation gets reduced then after 1 - 2 hours. It comes back. My family doctor suggested me to take omeprazole as it might be happening due to silent acid reflux. But the ENT specialist diagnoses suggests, no sign of acid reflux else there would be all redness around my throat. But nothing is inflamed inside my throat nor even lymph nodes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
