Sore throat with spots all over

For about 3 weeks I've felt a bump behind my tounge but above my Adams apple, out of view when looking into my throat. But now (past week and a half) there are bumps running up the sides of my throat one side worse than the other. I still feel the bump behind my tounge as well but it goes away for about 5-10 minutes while i eat and then comes back. It does not cause any other effects with swallowing, breathing or in my voice. Sometimes it hurts like a mild sore throat, others it's just annoying. Doc told me it could be allergens but I have lived here (central texas) my whole life (21 years) and never felt like this when my allergies flare up. I have smoked for about 4 years (only pot, but heavily) and have ceased (week and a half) recently to no improvement. In fact it seems worse. I was tested for strep came back negative and given allergies meds which haven't changed anything. I'm very nervous it could be something serious so any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I have pictures but i have no idea how to upload.

When you say lumps, do you mean tonsil stones or fleshy?

It's on the very back of my throat past my tonsils. Starting where my nasal cavity would drain, Running down my throat and out of sight. If I poke it with a Q tip it will close up and the two sides with bumps will touch. I've been on the allergy meds this whole time with no avail
