Sore urethra?

Hello All, me again!! 2 weeks post op, all 3 repaired. Have recently started feeling pain in my urethra (like a bruising pain, or a slightly sharper pain of I need to wee) & unless I'm full & it's rushing out it hurts to wee & I struggle to empty. (I have had this a bit since the beginning but it seems to be getting worse?). Is it normal part of the recovery? Or could I be doing too much? ( I don't do much but potter around to the loo or kitchen to get a drink Or heat some lunch up in the microwave, the most strenuous thing I do is get out of a chair 😅wink or sitting too much? Maybe it's coffee irritating it? But I drink a bucket load of water aswell & no other drinks, at most 2 coffees a day. Could it be a UTI? But I have no fever. I get a bit of lower abdominal pain but i feel it in the stitches im sure. Or could it just be that my hospital grade anti inflammatories have run out & i forget to take nurofen!? Any thoughts appreciated!!!

    Hi

Sounds suspiciously like a UTI to me. I've had a 100 of them, you don't necessarily have a fever especially in the early stages. Off to the doctor for antibiotics I think.

    Good luck

D mannose is fab for uti and all natural.

The more antibiotics you have the more it will come back.

These bacteria get used to the antibiotics and become immune to them.

I stay clear and use d mannose as a preventative. You will get them off sweetcures website.x

Never suffered with uti until first anterior repair. After this surgery not had any issue.preventative is the best way forward rather than curing the symtoms. It really works hun. 1 teaspoon every 3 hrs for 3 days then morning and night..any baddies embedded in bladder wall get stuck to the powder and flushed out. Good luckx

I've booked a doctor's appointment to check for a UTI, but I thought it worth mentioning that the pain goes away over night when I am laying down on my back for long periods of time & gradually gets worse throughout the day as I'm up & about, leading me to believe it could still be swelling? & maybe not a UTI? Or do you still think it is a UTI?
