Sore vagina hole

it seem like few says before my period is due my vagina lips seem sore and swollen then the entrance feels sore .. sex feels uncomfortable but not painful . no discharge or smell . its slightly itchy but not annoying.. its happened now for pass 4 cycles .. I've taken a look and noticed a area that seems slightly sore more than the rest .

not had sex for 3 weeks between 11th may -30 th . than and rougher sex than usual 4th june , day before symptoms started . any ideas thank u image

    Dear steph,

    Cyclical itching and genital soreness is most likely from recurrent thrush- have you been tested for this? The other possibility that you may be alluding to is genital herpes. This can be quite difficult to diagnose clinically and the only sure way would be to take a sensitive herpes DNA swab of the area in question during a flare-up. At this point, there's nothing suspicious in the photo you posted.
