I am sorry to have to let you know but I have still got this horrible horrible disease - nearly FOUR MONTHS now !! Is there anyone out there who has had it for this length of time? I am 57 years old. Can this possibly be normal?

I am seeing my doctor again next week and going to be referred to a dematologist.

WISH ME LUCK - PLEASE !!!!!

I was diagnosed with PR on 11/7/07 and I still have it. It seemed to be clearing up around Christmas and then it came back again. Has this ever happened to anyone?I have tried Oatmeal baths, tanning bed and an Oatmeal lotion. Since it came back it seems to itch a whole lot more. I also have flu like symptoms then I get really itchy and the bumps seem to appear.

I feel so sorry for you guys who've been suffering for months. I've had mine just over 3 months, and just had another outbreak this week! I thought it was getting better, but apparently not!

I can't believe there's so little that doctors can do to help!

Good luck, I hope you get some relief soon!

Thanks for your thoughts. I also thought mine was beginning to clear up last week but then it became much worse. At the moment it has calmed down a lot but it is still there. Am seeing the doc again tomorrow. As a matter of interest what age are you? I have been told that as people get older the longer it can take to go. My worst patches are on my stomach and under my arms. Oh and after a shower - well - I daren't look at myself !!! Where is yours worst ?
