Oh i am soo sorry, to loose a fur child, can understand it breaks your heart.

Been there done that, some years ago now, Magic our Black Short haired oriental cat with one eye, (he survived a accident) screen door opening ability, crow/magpie/raven stalking ability, we are sure he used to lie in wait, could never understand how, and a huge personality, used to get angry with us by nipping heels if you were slow with his dinner, is still dearly missed, we had him for 19 years, vet told me that made him over or close to 100 in human years, we still find ourselves talking about him in regular family conversations, do you remember when-----. Such lovely memories.

    Hi Sassybees

so sorry you lost Jessie. I know exactly how you feel. Been through that so many times and it doesn't get any easier. If she had an underlying problem though. You know in your heart it was the right thing to do. I just can't understand these people who just want there animal to suffer just because they can' trace doing it.

    Hugs go to you

Omg l am so sorry l know just how it feels to lose one of your beloved pets l had 2 cats since they were kitten called Ace & Jazz ace got out to sleeo when he was 15 with kidney failure l watched him waste away to half his size but refused to beleive there was something up until l thought no your being selfish and took him to vets and he never came home. Me and my husband were distraught to say the least. A family member had died to us. And the harder thing was my other cat Jazz went into mourning for him they were always together and jazz searched that house for days looking for him letting out a meow l have never heard before like he was shouting on him it lasted a while and jaaxx went on to live until he was 20 we lost him at the end of last year he was a wee old man totally deaf had wma bit of demencia and arthritis in his body we again held on to him to long until one day l looked in his eyes and it was if he was telling me he was ready. It took me alll my strenth to call vets to get appointment on the thursday. We got home from work on the tursday night and he had passed away. It was so hard 20 years we had him l cried for days. We both did. The house felt empty it was worse than losing anyone. I swore from that day no more pets as you get to arrached. I would like a dog but not when we were both working full time. Then all of a suddon a stray kitten started living in our garden l refused to get attached my husband started feeding her and made her a makshift sheltor to sleep in. 6 months past and she never left. Now she is a full member of our family spoit rotton l spent over £200 at vets getting her chipped and vacinated cleaned and checked. She now think she is lady of the manor. Its like she (Suki) is her name was sent when Jazz left us.

Sorry the long story it won't make you feel any better but l totally understand how devastating it is to lose a pet.

    My best wishes

    Laura.

2 weeks post op from my 2nd replacement 1st was on dec 9th so just healing at the moment and struggling a bit more than l did with 1st one

Aww, Sassy, that's so sad to hear about your jessie. 5 years is too young, what a heartbreaker. My dear dog died at age 6 in 2005, and I am still mourning him. It's good you are doing well after your THR, may that continue for a long, long, time!

Oh Sassy, I am so sorry.

Jessie was lucky to have so much love surrounding her and if we didn't love we wouldn't need to grieve.

    Time heals xxxxxxx

    Dear Sass,

Amazing how you deeply sad you can feel when a pet crosses over - I cried for days - I had a boxer too, chocolate brown - I don't know if you believe in guardian angels, but Beau has been with me since - it has been 35 years ...

    big warm hug

    Sassy,

Welcome back, so sorry to hearof the loss of your four footed friend, 5 years is far too early. We lost our cat about 18 months ago due to kidney failure too, but he was about 10, since then we have been joined by a new rescue moggy, and he is wonderful, but so different.

Hard to believe you are about 6 months post op now - but then I am over 4 months post-op (but only 2 months post revision).  I have a hollow scar line too, I thought it was because they cut me twice in exactly the same spot.

    Best wishes
