SOS Medical bracelet or pendant

Do you wear an SOS bracelet or pendant?

If we have an allergy or unusual condition that might affect the way we should be treated, perhaps we should wear one.

I didn't, but I do now have one, to warn anyone of my problem hip should I not be in a state to warn medical staff.

I have also purchased one for my son's birthday in a few weeks time as he is allergic to penecillin.

I'm making up my own insert, otherwise I'd never get it all on either twisted

Listing my problem hip, and the parts that are in there (I even have serial numbers!)

Hi Eileen!  Good to catch you on here!  As far as the bracelets go, I have seen some where you can list some major health things, but there is also a number to call where medical people can get all of your health history and medications you are taking.  I am similar to you...too many things!

I told my surgeon that I wanted them - as he had messed up my hip, and I know that I would probably not be at home, and be able to contact him if anything went wrong.  In fact I will probably be abroad.

I said that I need to know exactly what is inside me so I can explain if I should ever need to.

Making up my SOS insert now, with all the info.

I had some severe depression even after I was doing better.  So I asked for an antidepressant and it is helping me.  I am so sorry you are in such pain.

I have both as I have a life threatening allergy and carry an epi-pen, well done for getting an alert tag for your son.

I don't have one yet but have ordered one. My son has one because he is insulin dependant diabetic.

Good thinking Graham.  I need to do that also and have two children with special conditions who could benefit from having one.  One thing that scares me is for medical personel to put me into an MRI with this metal in my hips!  Disaster!

Which company did you buy from?
