I have problem that I hear sound in My left ear especially in later hours of the day or when I try to slepe. It is very disturbing. The doctor checked and said that the eardrum is tilted outwards, he gave me medicine to relieve congestion which I have used for 15 days. Just after that it has become even worse now...Really worried if the ET can be opened?

I had this issue for the last couple years. The only thing that helps me is Neilmed Sinus rinse.

Spray in both nostrils. Good luck

    Hi Shay,

It sounds as though you are suffering from Tinnitus, which is a very common condition.  I have it too, sometimes louder than other times.  Eustachian Tube Dysfunction is probably the course as many people on this site are complaining about it.  Noises vary from high pitched whistle, to ringing, everyone hears something different.  You could have fluid behnd your eardrum.  If you also have congestion, sinus issues, this could be th cause.  These problems can go on for months and months.  In my case I've suffered ETD since the 1980's and it continues today due to sinus congestion and allergies.  At present I have been prescribed a 20 day course of Prednisolone....the only thing that works to clear up all the inflammation and sorts our ears.  Not all doctors will prescribe, but I've been told as long as they are short courses they should be a problem.  I get so low when my ears play up that I have no choice but to go on them.....some people have to be on th for years and years to rid inflammation for Rheumoid Arthritis.

I hope you get sorted soon.

Which country do you live in.

I'm England and our weather isn't the best for

    this problem.

Thanks for the comment Anne. The problem started in when I was in Pakistan 2015 and I did not pay much attention perhaps it was not very annoying.I moved to Norway now but I dont have any other allergies apparently. My GP is attending so far and I hope he recommends to the specialist this time. Yes, the sounds like the storm outside hitting the windows with the rythem of heartbreat are really annoying to sleep, study or concentrate.

      Regards
