Specialist help and update

Recap - i am a 48 year old pt, always been fit, played football to a half decent level before becoming a pt.

Was told i have gilberts in my early 20's but thats as much as the doctor said at the time.

I started to feel so much better when i stopped taking all the vitamin supplements and aimed for a balanced diet, made a massive difference - one of the biggest tips i could give anyone ( by this i mean not a perfect diet, and not an awful one, still have the occasional treats but then sometimes have the "perfect meal" the clue is there, BALANCED.

I paid for a liver biopsy several years ago after seeing a liver specialist to try and get to bottom of this "gilberts syndrome" as i was getting shrugged off by normal gp's.

I kept saying that i think paracetamol is bad for people with this condition, only to be told by everyone including the liver specialist that is nonsense, quite interesting as now it actually seems known that it isnt good for us and even doctors now will say this.

One of the reasons i have been away from the gs world is that i was diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis, im still coming to terms with that and trying to find out as much as possible about that condition, but thats another story.

I have recently been off work for 6 weeks with various issues, and this happened in the summer also.

I am looking to find a private doctor who specialises in gilberts in the uk, as i have lots of new questions and want to rule out as much as i can whilst seeing someone else about my newly diagnosed condition.

Does anyone know of any or can recommend someone ? not just a liver or gastro specialist, someone who really understands the condition.

Thanks for reading as this turned out to be longer than expected and for some reason an absolute pain to type on my phone on this site.
