Spells of dizziness that comes after a month or two and stays for a week or so and then goes away.

Hi, I am 30 years old researcher from India. I was diagnosed with BPPV 8 months back by my ENT specialist. Another neurologist diagnosed it with Epileptic Vertigo. I was not sure that which diagnosis was correct. I had to rely on the first case since being a researcher I value the diagnosis of another researcher who claimed it to be his PhD topic. However, to my utter frustration, I have never found a solution to this problem as spells of dizziness keep on disturbing me. I am also obese with a BMI of 31 and a complete foodaholic. I do monitor my BP levels and Lipid profile which usually stays normal. The worst time of the year is when the weather is very cold or very hot. I have this feeling that I might encounter a classical head spinning type vertigo which I never had since the time when I was diagnosed with BPPV. I would love to know how important is practising the REHABILITATION program throughout the year? I have often seen that playing badminton or doing any exercise which improves hand-eye coordination helps.

Have Epley maneuver therapy, it helps for BPPV, has to be done by an experienced physiotherapist.

    Good luck!
