I experienced sinus pain and pressure for 6 mos straight and it caused anxiety in me...had to wait extended time for appt to specialist amd all they do is prescribe meds u can now get over the counter. U need ro get a handle on the congestion, try steroid nasal spray or decongestant pills (the kind u have to aske pharmacist for). Eliminate dairy and lots of water. Eliminating congestion will help your sinused drain which relieves perssure and pain. Good luck. U wont die...

hey shane...don't get stressed... anxiety and sinusitis both can cause headache....and pain in tempal doesn't necessarily mean sphenoid sinusitis....sphenoid sinusitis is rare.....2 things you need to do...first calm and reduce your anxiety...You can do exercise, yoga, meditation just to tackle anxiety and if you have sinusitis then try having steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil two times a day it will break down your mucus....you can try steroid nasal spray...sleep with two pillows that will help you to drain sinuses during night and you can also use neti pot with saline nasal wash....it helped me......you can also listen sinus healing binaural music during sleep......in your appointment if they feel they will order sinus ct scan only then you can tell if that is shenoid sinusitis or not.....believe me i had pain for 1 year and then it went away....
