Spinal Chord Stimulators

Hello, In 2009 i had Dynesis on my lower back, then whilst working was sent to lift a large 300/400 litre cylinder at work. this resulted in needing revision surgery and a full fusion to the area this was back in 2013. In May this year i had Spinal chord stimulators fitted at St Thomas hospital in London.. (fully fitted opp was at Guys)

Its the start of September now and I've had a good pain reduction. But like anything side effects are present (id rather be clean of pain medication with side effects than on meds with side effects)

I have the following issues that have been made worse by the machine being switched off as i was told to do.

Tremors that are hard to explain, i feel like I'm wobbling inside and i can't stay still.

The tremors lead to shakes sometimes, i also have tingling and pins and needles and numbness in feet and hands and thighs at times.

My skin will feel like i have a crawling sensation or heat on it. and shooting pains like bolts of electricity up shins and arms (machine is off)

These things have only started happening since i had the machine. but now its off they have amplified and I'm struggling to walk around but I'm shaking like a 90 year old and I'm 31.

Has anybody experienced the same. Thanks in advance

Haven't turned mine off completely yet. Don't think I will now.  I have had mine adjusted only once. I may call to set up an appointment for another adjustment. I hope your problems get resolved.  Pain sucks!

    Hey Jon,

While reading on your story, I also feel the agony you been through. Actually I'm a Physician which currently work at Arizona Pain and Spine Institute and based on my own experience and feedback from previous clients who also undergo Spinal Chord Simulators, they are now moving very well and back to their normal life. I believe there is something wrong with your simulator that keeps your agony longer. Just simply contact us and we are willing to help you to get you back on your normal life.
