How many people had their SCS removed? And how do you feel after having it removed. I've heard some people have had it changed.

I had to have my battery moved, I lost weight and the battery fell onto my sciatic nerve causing all sorts of horrible leg pain, so they moved it for me out more laterally on my butt. Then the supposed 5-7 years of battery life turned out to be only 8 months, so that battery again had to come out and this time got replaced with a rechargeable battery. I like this much better, I just charge my butt every other day and don't worry that I run it at warp speed LOL. So far no movement of my leads, upper or lower.

I'm glad to hear all is going well after replacing the battery. It does happen. And if you are having issues you also have the people to program it for you if need be. I have learned that I don't have to run it if I am not in pain, and I run it at a lower pace also. So far I am keeping mine in and I also went to my Dr. and he told me when ever I can't solve a problem and my issues get worse, he will have it removed. So right now it is doing what it suppose to do. How ever, I am still take my pain pills 3-4 times a day. So good luck! :-)

Sorry that happened. My surgery was hard, I've had my entry point opened 4 times and all due to staph, they will have the capacity to get to it regardless of whether there is a lot of scar tissue. I ended up staying 7 nights because of a spinal line injury when they took it out. The torment in my back is awful but since despite everything I have an open injury that they are endeavoring to get shut yet it wasn't that awful.

Are you saying that you had the SCS, and had to have it removed, and ended up with staph after?
