Spinal cord stimulator problems

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had my lumbar stimulator put in on 8/16/17 and it was fine for the first two weeks but then I started having severe nausea and left abdominal cramps.  These actually start to go away if I turn the stimulator off for a couple days.  I have also become lethargic and my vision has drastically changed.  This has got me concerned about what is going on and it doesn't matter if it is on or not those don't change.  It is extremely difficult to get through the day.  Has anyone else had any of these problems?

Itaylor777....I don't know anything about a spinal cord stimulator. In fact, I just recently discovered there was such a thing after reading in this forum. Anything I know about medicine is that when your body reacts the way yours is now doing; especially since it's affecting your sight, you truly must get to the doctor.

Please go to the Dr. you need to make sure of what is going on.

I'm not sure what kind of Dr to go to.  With my vision, it feels like I am wearing beer goggles.  All of my symptoms started after the stimulator which was off at the time started vibrating my torso and head while I was asleep.  It was a very sick feeling.  I turned the stimulator back on and it went back to my legs.  That only happened once but that is when the symptoms started and I haven't felt good since.

Other changes that I have noticed is my O2 level and heart rate have changed.  They are normally 99 / 102.  Lately they have been 93 / 68 not a big change but still a change.

I would call the Dr that put the simulator in first. They should be able to answer your questions.
