hi Joanne ive had a similar fusion myself which as had limited success as i had alot of leg pain which as gone but my lower back pain persists so im on loads of strong morphine opiates just to manage every day life but most days im like a Zombie and the pain is still there which is frustrating.

If you have had surgery and have u had an mri or CT scan to fonfirm fracture.

If so then surely your optiuns would be for the hospital to correct this specially if its there fault as leaving it could lead to more complications later down the line so speak to your gp to refer you back to the hospital that did the original surgery so good luck . Im currently under the pain team so for me they have increased my medication which leaves me like a Zombie think next they gonna do some more spinal injections which ive already had so 3 and half years later im stil in considerable pain on more meds and my doctor as medically retired me so hope u get yours sorted keep nagging at gp.

HI joanne I'm really sorry to hear of your suffering I have been offered a multi level fusion L3 -S1 in November last year, I decided against it for the reason of what has unfortunately happened to you and there's nowhere to go afterwards other than a second fusion. I do have a good friend who has had the same misfortune as you and thankfully his second fusion is working. He did say he'd overdone things initially that could of caused the failure but I have wished him well and I wish the same for you. The sad part of this position for you now is a second fusion!

Stay strong Joanne and I wish you luck on your journey to a pain free recovery!

    Regards Dave
