I had mine January 7th. I'm still not 100%, but its getting better. My main issue currently is itching. Week 5-6 I had some cutting pain with itching, I believe most of it was from the incision site. I did have very minimal bleeding up through last week. I've went this week with no bleeding that I'm aware of. I take one stool softener with 8 ounces of prune juice every night, I have pretty much been doing this for 6 months, and will most likely continue for another 6 months. Good luck in your healing process.

I was told by my doctor the colace or generic colace stool softeners are safe for long periods. I never took any kind of miralax etc. That type of laxative can cause dependence. If yiu an stomach prune juice everynight I would recommend it, I also eat a fiber serial every morning. Raisin Bran type cereal is good.

it took 6-7 weeks for my fissure to close/heal. however i wasn't pain free until months later. so it's possible you are healed but your nerves need more time to repair. so stick to the fissure friendly diet for at least 3 months.
