Spinning and Nausea

A few weeks ago I woke up with a feeling of the room spinning around me and a sense of falling sideways, it was especially bad when I lay flat or tilted my head backwards or to the side. The next morning and every morning since I have felt nauseous and this feeling will come and go throughout the day. At first I thought I might be suffering from Vertigo but now I've developed a new symptom in the form of a trembling feeling inside which makes me think it might be anxiety. The problem is I dont feel anxious at all and I'm not worrying about anything so how can it be? I have an appointment with my Gp soon as I'm going on holiday and want to sort it out before I go. Has anyone experienced this please and what was the outcome?

they must rule out anything dangerous first like stroke, tumours, heart issues etc. once they are comfortable with your general health they can move on to see if its just positional vertigo or another vestibular issue. vertigo and dizziness is a symptom not a disease. they need to find out whats causing it.
