The effects of Spiriva seem to be wearing off.
Has anyone added anything to see an improvement?

I have been taking spiriva for many years and also symbicort. I do find that they are not as effective these days and I think that is because as the disease progresses any medication becomes less effective but on the other hand it would be even worse without it. This year I was put on oxygen and it really does help.

i too was on Spiriva but could not get on with it and so I was put on symbicort which was fine until after 1 year I developed extreme bloating and slow bowel motility and now I am on Seretide 500 Now been on it for 9 months and it is so good that I no longer have to use my Ventalin on a daily basis. I am told that Seretide 500 is now the recommended drug for COPD. Note I don't need to take oxygen as a supplement
good luck with your treatment but perhaps you should have another chat with your COPD doctor or nurse
