Spitting out Clear Bloody and saliva?

Soni was just sitting down and i suddenly felt something in my mouth.So i spit it out and it was a ton of blood.I didn't cough but it just happened.

I do have shortness of breath for weeks.Is it Pulmonary Embolism?

    I did a Lung CT scan but without Contrast

    did they miss my clot?

    Id go back to the er or if your in the uk your local hospital and request a ct scan with contrast.

    If you are feeling unwell you should go and get it checked. I was told it is better to be safe than sorry particularly if you have had clots before x

    You seem to be highly anxious about it. Have you had blood clots before.  When I ended up with bilateral pulmonary emboli I was passing out, my chest pain was crushing, I couldn’t talk as I was so breathless, my pulse was 77/33 with an extremely rapid heart rate of over 159 on bed rest, sweating and my husband said I was grey. So close to death and needed my clots to be thrombolysed. I knew I was extremely unwell and my heart had enlarged because of heart strain

    I would go to ER. If the bloody spit repeats, save it in the tissue to show them to doctors. I also was spitting blood about 15-20 days after my PE, but I also had pneumonia and it might have been due to that, I was told.

    I also wasn't coughing up blood, it was more like I had a feeling I needed to clear my throat of mucous, and I just would have some blood in it (sorry for the description ;-)). Not an awful lot though.
