Splits and tears?

Hello,

For about a year or 2 I have been experiencing some splits on my gentials, kind of like cuts. They only appear above my clitoris or the skin between my vagina and anus.

They do get very sore but they are very tiny splits. I was getting scared that I may have genital herpes but I’ve googled images of it and it doesn’t look like what I get, I got tested for sti’s and came back negative. It does not look like sores, just little tiny cuts but they never turn into anything more, they go away within 3/4 days.

The split on the skin between my vagina and anus can be because of sex sometimes. But I don’t know why I am getting this little split/cut on the skin above my clitoris, it is tiny but is very sore. I am scared that maybe I have genital herpes but because I had no cuts at the time I got tested they couldn’t of swabbed it to see.

As I said, it doesn’t look like genital herpes to me and it does clear up quite quickly but still is very painful.

Can anyone help me please? I’m getting very worried.

I would also like to add I first got something like this at the top of my clitoris when I was very young, maybe about 10 or so, it was a crack/cut above my clitoris and it was bleeding.

herpes actually can present as a “paper cut” or crack in the skin- usually in the soft tissue areas like the inner lips of the vulva or around the anus. it could be herpes, but if you say you’ve had the one above your clitoris recurring since you were 10 (i assume you weren’t sexually active then) it wouldn’t make sense that it would be herpes. i’d definitely see a doctor for that, and have them swab these cuts next time you get them just to rule out herpes.

      Hi thanks for the reply

Yes, i wasn’t sexually active when I was 10 but I remember getting the same thing as I get now, it was very painful and bleeding, I have no idea what it could’ve been.

i think it’s definitely not herpes then but i’d see your gyno or a dermatologist and they could help you!
