Doing PT 2x a week and my own exercise to tolerance. I have had 3 steroid injections that did not help. I have leg weakness and toe numnbess but also get pins and needles sensations in both legs and sometimes in my arms as well. Motrin and Alleve make little difference in pain relief. I am 60 years old in good health and just a few months ago I was active with my grandkids, now not so much. I have not asked my spine doctor for any medication and am not sure what would help. Nights are the worst for pain and tingling. Anyone else have this going on?

Have you tried sleeping in a recliner. There are also zero gravity chairs . They both take the pressure off nicely and sleep .

Heat gel wraps are very helpful pop in micro wave type. Sounds like sciatica, muscle relaxer , massage prescription anti inflams also helps break the pain cycle.Rest is important for several weeks.

Sometime rest works to end the pain..takes time . Also wearing a soft back support is very helpful until there is a better solution, and loosing a couple pounds . X-rays could give more information on how best to treat the back pain. Some docs will prescribe a lumbar epidural . Important to change your shoes and hard arch supports.

Thank you. I have had 3 steroid lumbar injections and they have not helped. I see the spine specialist next week. Nothing I take helps me to sleep except sometimes a sleeping pill. i get nerve pain in both legs and in my toes and the bottoms of my feet which makes it hard to get comfortable.
