Here I sit after a laminectomy in may 2016 Devastated after finishing 5 months of therapy continuing to regress. Surgeon says screws would help with my reoccurring pain and problems from my spondylosis. Setting up a second opinion simply because I have a uncle whose been through this and just got worst. I see pain management for injections in two weeks and if he thinks surgery will help I'd do it but if he says I don't know. Forget it.

This pain I live with will be the pain I die with.

On a strict diet to loose 25 pounds in 6 months and now with taking on water that's in jeopardy

Really depressed I had my daughter and granddaughter come and spend this weekend with me and do some winter cleaning for me.

    SO SO HARD TO WATCH.

I have placed my situation in God's hands for only he can help me now. I appreciate anyones encouragement and anyones suggestions. I read everybody's emails and replies, I thank you

Again my post to you was just a window what I had been going through. I hope I helped in something there you can use for your decision making. I suggest a second opinion, I bumped into a guy, and this is how God works. The guy was in the same condition that I'm in and since he was I asked him did he have spondylosis? He basically said that my surgeon should of caught it on the mri and whilst I was on the operating table this should of Been fixed too. I say this because I was 2 town away from where I live. My daughter was washing my clothes and just so happened that this guy was in the same spot.

He preached get a second opinion and request that only the Dr. Perform the surgery not a intern. He went to another specialist and had his spondylosis repaired, which involved screws and flex rods. He said he was 75% better than b4 and was able to return to work. He still gets pain but he said it's nothing like after laminectomy. He as lost 15 pounds but with him being 55 it's hard. I'm 51 if I can get my pain cut in half I'd be happy.

So, second opinion and dieting start there.

    I hope you get better.
