Spongy projections

I'm sorry to flood this site. I'm just going through a rough spell.

I have a very soft spongy painless projection in my anal/ perineal area. What is it? Anything to be concerned about? Seems to me I remember someone asking a similar question sometime ago.

It sounds like piles to me,  sometimes they can flare up and not itch if you've been constipated.  Sometimes it can be an old pile which has gone but is now a skin tag.

Yes it is.  They can look purple as well as it's the blood in them.

You’re welcome,  when I first got them 2008 I had no idea what they were also. X

Did you have pressure or pain from them?  That actual spot is painless but I have anal pressure and sometimes it feels like I have a cut?

You get anal pressure with constipation though Sandra plus the fissure (cut) can happen because of constipation.  Yes I get pain from them.  Haven’t got any at the mo but I got constipated on holiday and got one and put cream there, it shrunk.  If you are worried though you can see gp, or use the cream first see if it goes, it should shrink after a few days though.

I already have a gynaecologist appointment for issues I'm having coming up. (Including an LS check). See what he says.

Have you like cream you can try, that usually does the trick.  I'd give that a try it works for me,  stress can make them come on possibly because we aren't eating as usual.
